BETTER CORROSION RESISTANCE

ZAK Steels bars have better corrosion resistance mainly on account of the absence of surface stresses caused by the cold twisting process in the CTD bars. Moreover a protective oxide film on the bar’s periphery prevents atmospheric corrosion.

RESISTANCE TO STRAIN AGING

ZAK Steels bars are aging resistant due to their manufacturing process and chemical composition. Comprehensive investigations have shown no tendency to aging embrittlement during welding or during cold deformation of the weld joints.

HIGH DUCTILITY

ZAK Steels bars have high elongation values of 16-25% which makes them ideal for earthquake prone areas. This unique ductility property also gives it excellent bendability.

COST & STEEL SAVINGS

Lower steel consumption -saving in steel can be as high as 10-24 % over other conventional bars Easy working at site due to high weldability and ductility. High weldable property also reduces fabrication time, saves construction time – pre-welded meshes can be used to eliminate manual binding at site.
