ZAK Steels bars are manufactured from the prime quality of 100% hot rolled Alloy Steel Billets which are procured locally and internationally of actual Grade-60 Standards with optimum level of carbon & manganese level as parent raw material, with lowest impurities & elongation greater than 14% without TMT, distinction of being the only mill having complete production confirming to Grade-40 and Grade-60 Deformed bars as per specification ASTM A615 which have much higher strength than the conventional Steel Bars. These Earthquake resistant deform bars are the backbone of modem construction.

BETTER CORROSION RESISTANCE

ZAK Steels bars have better corrosion resistance mainly on account of the absence of surface stresses caused by the cold twisting process in the CTD bars. Moreover a protective oxide film on the bar’s periphery prevents atmospheric corrosion.

WIDE RANGE

ZAK Steels bars 10mm – 32 mm are available in different strengths; and Higher grades, with specific Cut to length capabilities which can be manufactured against specific orders with dimensional accuracy.

RESISTANCE TO STRAIN AGING

ZAK Steels bars are aging resistant due to their manufacturing process and chemical composition. Comprehensive investigations have shown no tendency to aging embrittlement during welding or during cold deformation of the weld joints.

HIGH DUCTILITY

ZAK Steels bars have high elongation values of 16-25% which makes them ideal for earthquake prone areas. This unique ductility property also gives it excellent bendability.

COST & STEEL SAVINGS

Lower steel consumption -saving in steel can be as high as 10-24 % over other conventional bars Easy working at site due to high weldability and ductility. High weldable property also reduces fabrication time, saves construction time – pre-welded meshes can be used to eliminate manual binding at site.

ZAK Steels bars are manufactured using genuine Tempcore technology and hardware which guarantee consistent strength properties from bar to bar as well as across the length of an individual bar. Higher Yield Strength Without Compromising on Elongation ZAK Steels bars offer higher yield strength and elongation compared to other bars. Unlike other bars, where elongation property is compromised upon for obtaining higher yield strength, ZAK Steels bars have higher strength combined with high elongation. This makes ZAK Steels ideal for seismic zones 4 & 5.

HIGH WELDABILITY

ZAK Steels bars are produced with proper carbon content and are suitable for all types of welding processes without any special precautions. There is no loss of strength at weld joints & no special precautions such as pre-heating or post-heating are necessary during welding.

BOND STRENGTH

ZAK Steels bars conform to the stipulations of ASTM A-615 Grade-60 and most International Standards.
